Washing instructions:

Rinse the pads in cold water until the water runs clear. This will remove a lot of the blood so the pad can be cleaned more effectively. This step can also speed up or eliminate step 2 if time is of the essence.
Soak in cold, and if you want, soapy water for 12-24 hours.
No longer than 48 hours. Spot clean any remaining stains by pouring laundry detergent directly on stains and letting is sit before laundering. This step is not necessary, but will help remove stains.
Wash and dry with regular laundry, without fabric softer. The dryer may set stains so air drying will be better for stain removal, however it does take a long time to dry as the inner core is very absorbent. Like all cloth items, the sun does a great job removing stains.
