COMMUNITY ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT AND LIVELIHOOD PROGRAM (CEELP)

This program is to improve the economic well-being of youth, women, and marginalized households through skills development, entrepreneurship, and sustainable livelihood support.Specific Objectives

1. Enhance access to vocational and entrepreneurship skills for vulnerable groups.
2. Facilitate access to capital and microfinance for youth- and women-led enterprises.
3. Promote financial literacy, savings, and cooperative models for economic resilience.

4. CORE PROGRAM COMPONENTS

A) Skills Development and Vocational Training
Short and long-term vocational courses (carpentry, tailoring, ICT, welding, etc.). Apprenticeships and mentorship programs in local businesses.
B) Enterprise Support and Access to Finance Business startup toolkits (equipment, seed capital, etc.). Linkages to SACCOs, VSLA groups, and microfinance institutions. Credit readiness training and business planning. C) Agribusiness and Food Security
Promotion of smart agriculture techniques. Inputs provision (seeds, tools), post-harvest handling, and cooperative farming. Rural-urban market access and agro-processing value chains.
D) Women and Youth Economic Inclusion Safe spaces and tailored trainings for women and young girls. Gender-sensitive entrepreneurship programs. Inclusion of youth with disabilities and indigenous communities.
E) Digital Empowerment and Innovation Hubs ICT and digital literacy training. Youth digital hubs for innovation and online business facilitation.
F). Financial Literacy and Cooperative Development Community financial education programs. Support for starting and strengthening savings groups and cooperatives.
